4 Reasons to Eat at Cafe Orleans in Disneyland

The next time you visit Walt's original theme park, Disneyland®, you MUST add Cafe Orleans to your dining list. And we have four reasons why:

1. Pommes Frites

Yes, they're basically french fries, but there's nothing 'basic' about them. They are a gift from God! They're french fries tossed with parmesan, garlic, and parsley served with cajun spice rémoulade. And oh my, are they divine!

And yes, that's one order in the picture. It's a basket full!

2. Monte Cristo Sandwich

Just as delectable as the pommes frites, the monte cristo consists of sliced turkey, ham, and swiss fried in a light batter, dusted with powdered sugar, and served with a berry purée. In reality, it's two complete sandwiches — definitely big enough to share, and it's served with grapes. I've never tasted a Monte Cristo so good!

P.S. You can get this same sandwich from Blue Bayou, but it cost's you more. Save a few and get it here!

3. Mickey-shaped Beignets

This might just be the best dessert in Disneyland® — no joke. The beignets are topped with powdered sugar served with fruit coulis and Cafe Orleans' house-made vanilla bean crème anglaise. The order comes with five. Make sure you ask for extra vanilla bean crème!

4. Character Sightings

If you sit outside you might catch one of your favorite Disney characters strolling around New Orleans square. You can pop over the fence and take a quick picture! We were fortunate enough to snag one with 'Red' from the new Pirates of the Caribbean auction scene. Other characters that frequently roam the area are Captain Jack Sparrow and Dr. Facilier.
