7 Unique Things to Have Disney Characters Sign

One of the best parts of any Disney vacation is meeting your favorite Disney characters and getting their autographs. But instead of having them sign an autograph book, why not have them sign something more memorable?

Here are seven unique things to have Disney characters sign on your next Disney vacation:

1. A PHOTO OF THEMSELVES

Treat the Disney characters like the movie stars they are! Hand them a self portrait of themselves to sign in true Hollywood fashion. You’ll be surprised at how flattered they’ll be — especially Donald Duck.

2. A POST CARD

Have a family member who wasn’t able to make it on the trip? This is the best way to say ‘Wish You Were Here!’ and give them a taste of Disney magic. Bonus points if it’s signed by the ‘Big Cheese’ himself — Mickey!

3. CHILDREN’S BOOK

Why not have the Disney character sign their very own story? We love the Little Golden Books because they’re easy to carry in a backpack or stroller. But if you’re up for a challenge, maybe you should buy the Disney Junior Encyclopedia of Animated Characters and try to collect every character’s signature.

4. T-SHIRT

If you’re one of those families that loves wearing custom-made Disney vacation t-shirts, why not have the characters sign it? And hey, because you’re already wearing it, it’s one less thing you have to carry around with you. Just don’t forget the sharpies.

5. A COFFEE MUG

The Disney Store alone is currently selling 289 different coffee mugs. That means Disney probably has a mug featuring your favorite Disney character. And if they don’t, someone on Etsy most certainly will. Either way, a signed Disney mug is the best way to sip your morning coffee.

6. AN OBJECT FROM THEIR STORY

This suggestion is for you extra creative folk — those who don’t mind thinking a little outside the box. Instead of having a Disney character sign something ‘normal’, have them sign something unique that directly correlates to their story. For example, you might have Cinderella sign a glass slipper, or the Evil Queen a fake apple.

7. A SIGNATURE MAT

This is our personal favorite, and one you must try. Get all the Disney characters you meet to sign a photo mat; then, after your vacation is over, use the photo mat to frame your favorite Disney photo from the trip. Once you do this the first time, you will do it for every Disney vacation after.

P.S. We found that sliding your photo mat between two pieces of cardboard is the best way to protect it from getting bent and the signatures.
