In order to control the capacity of their theme parks at the Walt Disney World resort, Disney has implemented a new park reservation system they call Disney Park Pass. This means that simply having tickets doesn’t guarantee a guest admittance to a Disney World theme park. Guests must now purchase tickets and make reservations for the park they wish to attend.
The video below will walk you through step-by-step how to use the new Walt Disney World park reservation system and how to make your own park reservations.
Walt Disney World Park Reservation Tips for Passholders
- You can only hold 3 park reservations at a time (unless you have a resort stay booked).
- It’s recommended you book Disney’s Hollywood Studios first, as this reservation goes the quickest.
- Weekends are normally booked about two months out (with Epcot usually being the park with most availability).
- Disney continually updates the park reservation system, sometimes increasing allotment for annual passholders. Keep checking if you don’t see availability for your preferred date.

Walt Disney World Park Reservation Tips for Resort Guests
- Book your park reservations as soon as you’ve paid your deposit for your room or package (you can always modify later).
- Relax knowing that Disney gives priority in the reservation system to their resort guests.
- You can reserve a park reservation for each day of your stay (or for the duration of your tickets).
