Finally! After a long, long, long wait, Disney has announced that the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique will be reopening at both the Walt Disney World® Resort and Disneyland® Resort on August 25th, 2022. Currently, there are only two locations that will be reopening (one at each resort) – inside the Magic Kingdom, behind Cinderella’s Castle at Walt Disney World® and near Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland®.

You can also find Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique on Disney Cruise Line® sailings; the Disney Dream’s and Disney Fantasy’s can be found on Deck 5, Midship, while the Disney Magic’s and Disney Wonder’s can be found on Deck 10, Forward. On Disney’s newest ship, The Wish, you can find Bippity Boppity Boutique on Deck 4, Midship — and they have some incredible new choices specifically for Disney Cruise Line®.

What age is Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for?

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique only allows children ages 3 – 12 years old to participate. There are is a large variety of characters that your child can choose to be turned into by their Fairy Godmother Apprentice, from princes and princesses, pirates or knights, or to the recently added new heroes and heroines. There is no restriction on whom your child can choose to be, regardless of their age or gender.

What’s the experience like inside Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique?

For starters, let’s talk about how much time the entire process takes. The actual makeover itself could last 30 – 45 minutes, depending upon the selections you and your child make, but that doesn’t take into account the selection process or the optional fairytale photo shoot at the end.

Your child will begin by selecting the character they want their Fairy Godmother Apprentice to turn them into. They’ll choose their outfit as well as detailed accessories to match — like wands, purses, shoes, fairy wings, or crowns. You’d be surprised at how many choices there are!

Once your child has made their final selections (and you’ve given the financial approval), they’ll then be escorted into a dressing chamber to dawn their new attire. (For a prince and princess, this is referred to as “getting ready for the ball.”) Afterwards, they will be taken into the salon area to begin their formal makeover by a Fairy Godmother Apprentice.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique offers many different types of makeover packages that include an assortment of different pamperings such as make up, hair, nails, etc. Once their makeover is complete, your child’s Fairy Godmother Apprentice will sprinkle them with magical fairy dust to complete the transformation, and your child will leave feeling pampered, glamorous, and ready for the ball (or their next big adventure).

Before heading out, there is a unique spot to get a few photos with Disney’s Photopass in the form of a fairytale photo shoot before they leave.

The cost of your child’s Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique experience greatly depends on the package you select and what kind of outfit/accessories they’ll be wearing. The cheapest option is the Knight Package for $19.95; this package does not include a knight outfit, but they will receive a mighty sword and shield. As far as their makeover, it will simply be some hair gel and styling. From here, packages range greatly in price and the outfits often are not included. 

The most commonly bought is the Crown Package for $74.95, which includes hairstyling, shimmering makeup, face gem, nail polish, a sash (it says either Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or you can choose a Birthday sash) and a princess cinch sack to hold your goodies. You get to keep the makeup, nail polish, brush, comb, extra face gems, a make-up wipe and a bottle of shampoo. 

The most expensive package they offer is The Princess Signature Dress Collection for $450.00, which includes everything in The Crown Package, plus a Disney Princess gown made with heirloom-quality fabrics, with intricate design details that tell the story of the princess. It also comes with a high-quality crystal tiara with box and an organza garment bag with satin hanger.
